FULLY FUNDED FOR 2007, Dr. Lino Di Lullo - Montreal, Canada

Francis lives in a village called Ngaremara, just outside Isiolo in Eastern Province, on the border of Samburu, about a 5 hour drive north-east of Nairobi. From the road, you wouldn’t be able to tell there was a village back there, were it not for the proud little sign post indicating a right turn. Francis is the 4th of 7 children and has recently completed his primary education with high standing at Aremiet Primary School. His favourite class in school was Social studies, which is a combination of History, Geography and Political Studies. His favourite pass-time is football (soccer), and he actually enjoys studying because he wants to be (in his own words) “somebody responsible.” He plans on becoming a lawyer after completing his studies. He aspires to join Mangu High School in January 2007. After his 4 years of high school he plans on attending University and then hopes to get the opportunity to study abroad following his first degree. His dreams are to move back to Kenya, find a job, and start giving back to his family members. Francis’ mother values education and works hard with the Catholic Mission to offer her children basic things such as a roof over their head and food in their stomachs. With your support, Francis’ bright nature and quick wit will not go to waste. He still has 3 younger siblings counting on him and he plans on fulfilling his duties thoroughly.
